Hat Sizing
If you are in between sizes or unsure of your hat size, we recommend sizing up. Most of our hats have an elastic band on the inside to add a snug fit. Questions? A one-of-a-kind handcrafted woven straw hat
We partner with a women's weaving co-op in Cuenca, Ecuador to weave each Minga hat by hand one by one.
The straw blank then goes to our our artisan partners to press and shape. Once it’s formed, it’s carefully trimmed, ironed, cleaned and sewn.
We work with raw materials, like wool and paja toquilla straw, to make all of our hats. We also use vegtable-tanned, handcrafted leather accessories that are built to last. We do our best to cut down on waste and consider each step of the process in our work.
Each straw hat is woven by hand by a women's weaving co-op in Cuenca, Ecuador, then pressed and shaped one by one.
